Discrimination : Who Investigates Discrimination Claims?
The Utah Labor Commission Anti-discrimination and Labor Division investigates claims of discrimination. The person discriminated against must report the discrimination of the commission within 180 days of the incident of discrimination or potentially lose certain rights.
If you have missed the Labor commission's 180 day deadline, then you can still report the discrimination to the United States Equal Opportunity and Employment Commission within 300 days of the incident of discrimination or potentially lose the right to sue for discrimination in federal court.
