    Protective Order Hearings

    Volunteer to represent indigent clients at Protective Order hearings. ULS staff attorneys are available to assist and mentor volunteers during the first few calendars. We send Protective Order training materials to all of our volunteers.

    Utah Legal Services needs volunteer attorneys to take cases. We place cases with a variety of legal issues including:

    Guardianship

    Housing

    Foreclosure Scams

    Mentor an Attorney

    You can also mentor a new attorney who is currently doing a pro bono case.

     

    Pro Bono Clinics

    Family Law Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants with domestic issues from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Third District Court, 450 South State Street, Salt Lake City.

    Street Law Clinic

      • Work with law students at this general pro se clinic every Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Horizonte, 1234 South Main Street in Salt Lake City.

    Debtor's Counseling Clinic

      • Work with law students at this consumer pro se clinic held the 4th Thursday of every month, excluding Thanksgiving, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Public Library, 400 South 210 East, Conference Room - Level 4.

    Bankruptcy Hotline

      • ULS refers individuals to volunteers for advice and brief service regarding bankruptcy and debt related questions.

    Rainbow Law Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigatants the 2nd Thursday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Utah Pride Center, 361 North 300 West, Salt Lake City.

    Community Legal Clinic (Formerly Called the Immigration Clinic)

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants with immigration issues the 1st Tuesday of every month from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at LDS Employment Center, 780 West 800 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.

    Medical/Legal Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants, referred to us by their doctors, the fourth Friday of each month from 3:00-5:00pm at South Main Health Center, 3690 S. Main Street Salt Lake City.

    Employment Law Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants with issues impeeding employment on the first Thursday of each month from 4-6pm at the LDS Employment Office, 780 West 800 S. Salt Lake City.

    American Indian Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants the 4th Monday of every month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Indian Walk-in Center, 120 West 1300 South, Salt Lake City.

    Park City Clinics

      • We need attorneys at our Park City Legal Clinic from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Summit Court.
      • We also need attorneys at our walk in clinic held the 4th Thursday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Christian Center, 1283 Deer Valley Drive Park City.

    Domestic Document Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants with their domestic documents the last Friday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Food and Care Coalition at 299 E. 900 S Provo.

    Layton Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants with their domestic documents the last Friday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Food and Care Coalition at 299 E. 900 S Provo.

    Cedar City Clinic

      • Volunteer to help pro se litigants with their domestic documents the last Friday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Food and Care Coalition at 299 E. 900 S Provo.
