ULS updates
Find out what is new at ULS as of October 16, 2009.
Intake Worker Hire - Thanks to a grant focused on services to Seniors, we are hiring a fifth intake worker. The ad was sent to the papers and will start its run Saturday the 17th, but as of now (Noon on the 16th) we already have 29 applications! The ad was posted on line yesterday. If you know of anyone interested, resumes go to Mary at mlyman@utahlegalservices.org.
Ogden Office - We've officially re-opened for business at the new location: 298 24th Street #110 in the Old Post Office Building. The space is great, though we are short one conference room table, and somewhat short on shortage space. If anyone is looking to donate a 9-10 foot table, let Eric know. (x.3348) We'll get some pictures of the new offices to show around soon.
November CLE - On November 3rd you have the opportunity to get one ethics and one civility and professionalism CLE credit at ULS' monthly Poverty Law CLE series. The training, with guest speaker Diane Akiyama of the Utah State Bar, will take place from 1:30 to 3:45 at the Community Legal Center. Please let Mary Lyman (x.3304) know if you will attend.
Client Satisfaction Survey - A newly updated client satisfaction survey is posted on our website, and should be sent out with all closing letters. If you have any comments on the new form, or any trouble finding it, please talk to Craige Harrison. (x.3313)
Finally, a thank you to our staff - Just a note to say how much we appreciate the hard work and professionalism of the staff here at ULS. Our Board saw some great examples at the retreat in September, and we'll be asking other staff members to come to future Board meetings to keep the Board posted on what we do every day for clients. Thanks to all.
