TIG grants - More good news
Technology Initative or TIG grants are given out annually by LSC for innovative technology proposals that will improve services to clients.
This year we put in for three projects of our own, and partnered on another with Montana and Colorado. The three we put in for were:
* Online intake and live chat with clients - about $50,000
* 3rd year WebSite Development - about $25,000 and
* Automated Domestic Pleading Preparation - about $20,000.
The fourth grant we partnered with our regional friends on is to develop web based trainings that will be of value to LSC funded staff no matter which state or program they are in.
Of the four grants, ALL FOUR WERE FUNDED!
Over the coming year look for the website to be completed and enhanced, watch for clients to be able to get on the website and start an intake 24/7, and for intake workers to be chatting with clients during intake hours, participate in important trainings with legal services staff from throughout the Mountain West, and breathe a sigh of relief as the long-awaited domestic pleading program is completed, streamlining the preparation of our many domestic documents.
